BY tomorrow at 8.10 am, I would finish my sports day list. Finally. *a BIG sigh of relief* I really want to thank God for the super responsive JC1. Indeed, He has blessed me with great leaders in my house. I have 4 people contending for the House Capt. position. Wow. So well sought after. Hah. Glad to have them to share the work load with me. YAY! OR I would be dead meat right now. Mr Koh was of great help too. This included some bribing tactics. Heh. May Sagittarius be the house that has the most fun.

He gave some valuable advice. Some of which I ever thought of but never had time to execute it. Well, this time, those that dont turn up for sports day but signed up. MAN! I'll kick you in the face. Without a valid reason, our house will deduct 3 points. It would be as if 3 people would be participating just to pay back that 3 lost points. Please dont let that happen. I will do my best to ensure it wont.

Hah. The other day while I was sitting outside the PE room talking with Mr Koh. A student came to hand in something but he did not have his badge. So he could only come back if he puts on his collar pin. Apparently, much later, this student came up to me and ask me to secretly pass the paper to Mr Koh. HAH! So funny. Cos he still didnt manage to get his collar pin on. LOL. This j1's face and attitude, especially when he's a guy, is totally undescribable. I gave him the HUH look, almost wanting to burst out in laughter.

I saw a cute guy in Innova today!! After so long, finally one decent guy. I was told that my house has a few cute guys. Some girls upon seeing his name on the list, signed up immediately. I must find out who he is. =]

I beat my personal best today for long jump. Only realised it when I reached home. Hoho. I was still thinking, wha, its not very good. Oh well. =] yays. Happy happy. Next is the seemingly insurmountable high jump record. Go Cass!

I've got a favour to ask. Will he say yes?

The top 10 'people' I want to meet:

2. Everest
1. Godwin Austen, better known as k2
3. Annapurna
3. Cho Oyu
4. Nanga Parbat
5. Kangchenjuga
6. Aconcagua
7. Kilimanjaro
8. Vinson Massif
9.
10.

Hey leave a few, in case I get inspired to go climb them. I wonder if I can ever make this come true. Would I fear that I would die on these mountains so much that I'll choose to admire them from pictures? Hmm. Let me make my mark in the working world first. No money, no talk =[[
Last I wanna see is Bukit Timah.

ARRR! I am so sad. I cant clear my school's high jump record. Whats worse is that I suddenly cant do flosbury flop anymore. The one where you arch your back and jump. This is the only method that allows you to jump above your own height. The other methods like the scissors kick, in which I resorted to using, can only reach a certain limit. SIGH! Considering that I have not been jumping since pri. 6 ever since that mad coach scared the wits out of me, I think I've gotta start practising. The thing is, is it worth it?

Have not done long jump in a long long time. I should start practising soon. Hoho. Yesterday, I attempted to run "cross-legged", some crazy method of running I picked up from primary school, without my spikes...and I fell! Sian. The method eats up a lot of energy but you run much faster. I have no idea where they got it from or what it is called. Hmm. Maybe I should go and find out. My 100m timings aren't superb either.

One of the teachers was telling me about his school's sports day. He was arrowed to be the cross country captain for his house although he cant run for nuts. Still, he managed to get runners almost EFFORTLESSLY and ran the race. Here in Innova, if I just leave the list on my noticeboard and let runners volunteer, I think my house will lose effortlessly. Some say that they dont want to compete, knowing that they will lose. I'm asking for participation. I love doing House matters but definitely not going around classes, persuading people to run, time and time again. Wha. Then I realise I am very patient for those who know me. EVEN in sec sch. when I did this, I never had much difficulty. The previous runners that ran, would just run again. SO easy. Not to mention at that time I had an excellent house master, Mr Ong. Man, I miss him a lot. He can persuade any tom, dick and harry to run. Those that I cant get to run, He can. When he left, I was sec 4. 2 other newbie teachers came in. Those that I couldn't persuade only a handful unlike my jc, they couldn't too. It struck me then that Mr Ong, is really really good. In the end, my house got 2nd, losing my 2 points to another house. I told Mr Ong and his reaction was..we've always got first for the last 10 years. I told him, "then, you come back!!!" He laughed. Now, Mitchell house is last, information from my brother. Another teacher took over the house. Apparently, someone worse. The teacher makes a difference. I prefer the previous house master than the current one.

I am just frustrated that I have to spend so much time getting runners. Shouldn't this time be channelled into practising? Some of the potential runners, when they see me, they run. Its not like I like to chase them to run. Then for JC 2's, I don't have many boys. It is like 3 girls is to 1 boy for the J2 in Sagi. ARRR!! !#(@$^*$&@)@#)!_#&^$(@$

the ultra heavy kayak. my good friend, ama, happily carrying the ultra light paddle. the person using the kayak had it filled with water. its the person carrying the kayak with me. he took quite some time to get out of the kayak. by that time, the waves brought in gallons of water!
me and amaluna. Ultra nice pic. kudos to the photographer. it was after kayaking and badly sunburned. the cap didnt really help. see the well defined muscles man and the ugly life jacket that stinked. i think my hairstyle is nicer than compared to now. lol
the J1 class that I took. enjoyed great times with them esp. when we complained together about the rubbish that we had to clear on the LAST day. this pic was taken when everyone else was doing duty. they were supposed to clean the toilet. it seems like we do well in giving eye power. the advantage of having a non-**** leader. i spent the whole time cycling whilst they walked in palau ubin. we cracked jokes and asked riddles. super fun! thanks guys for making it so memorable for me. although they're not very enthu for their house [the boys wanted to break the record and minus the most points for their house. hah], they're a great class. THE GIRLS i mean. cause almost all the guys were more whimpy than the girls. =] heh!
my favorite ex-sagi class. hurr. they're in another house now. apparently, they are still quite committed to their ex-house. when we see each other, we'll do this sign. SAGI sign. to remind ourselves that where our loyalty lies. hah. i was leader of a class in rasalas. GO SAGI! Thanks to you people -- sharifah, sarah, dory, satish. I enjoyed camp more. =]

Things I learn from doing GP:

At last count, Bill Gates had an estimated net worth of $42 billion dollars ($42,000,000,000.000). He has earned since his birth an average of $32.31 per heartbeat, and this is escalating. He recently donated $200 million to place computers in libraries across the country. This is 1/210 of his wealth.

Here are some other things he could do:

-Pay NBA MVP Michael Jordan's salary for 1,394 years.
-Give every man, woman and child on the face of the Earth $7.46.
-Pay every California Lottery prize for the next 34 years.
-Fund 158 Mars Pathfinder missions.
-Fund the US Department of Education for 19 years.
-Pay tuition for the residents of Seattle and Tacoma to go to the University of Washington for four years.
-Fund the US presence in the Persian Gulf for 11 months.
-Fund the US peacekeeping forces in Bosnia for 157 years.
-Buy 233,346,297 copies of Microsoft Windows 95.
-Buy 1,680,000,000 copies of his own book, buy more with his royalties from those sales, continuing the cycle and easily the best selling author of all time.
-Make Hanson the most successful musicians of all time by buying 3,529,411,765 copies of "Middle of Nowhere."
-If he wanted to challenge George Lucas (worth only $2 billion), he could make 227 sequels to "Waterworld," or 35,000 sequels to "Sling Blade."
-At the median donation for spending a night in the White House, he could stay in the Lincoln Bedroom for 46,300 years.
-If he wanted to go on a killing spree in Los Angeles County, at the rate that Simpson was charged, he could kill 3,360 people and pay all his attorney fees and punitive damages.
-At the rate of 1/2 ounce per $27 million, he could pay Mike Tyson to eat 1/5 of Evander Holyfield.
-He could fly from Seattle to Paris and back on Air France 45,258,621 times.
-If he wanted to go to a local baseball game, he could buy Seattle Mariners season tickets, all of them, for 411 years, and with his spare change could buy the team and the Kingdome.
-At Denny's, he could buy a "Grand Slam Slugger Breakfast" for 9,150,326,797 people.
-If he couldn't get service, he could buy every man, woman and child in China a Big Mac Extra Value Meal, as long as no one "Super Sizes."
-If they preferred, he could buy 17 billion packages of Top Ramen noodles.
-He must like coffee, and could buy over 6 billion pounds of French roast at his local Starbuck's.
Speaking of a cup of coffee, he could support one of those Sally Struther's foreign kids for 113,341,969 years.

HAH!

YO! Yay. I'm happy. Somehow or rather. I got a B for my project work. Mr Eric Wong called to ask me for my results. I got a shock when I saw his name on my phone. LOL. I guess his real intention was to ask me how darshananth did. Ah Ha!

Stanley is super jealous that I got a B. Eh this is about the only other time I'll win you, smart kia who always pretend he doesn't study when he actually MUGS like mad. =] Thank God for my results especially when I realised the myriad flaws my project had. My teacher said it was because of my OP that I got a B. Finally, the gift of the gap has come in handy.

May I continue to study hard and get good grades for my a level. I'm blessing myself. =]

I shall add you to my list. I can laugh at you. Lu Feng is already in it. Jon Cho soon. Eh Hwei Ting, he's the prefect senior that came up to you and asked you if you know him. He says you never change. Still the same hairstyle and look. LOL. Met Ping Wu(the one who stole kenneth's balls), Si Min(my senior prefect buddy) and Benjamin(who can move his breast and Jasmine loves it a lot!). It's like some prefect's meeting.

this week's bad. i've got waves of bad news. school's good. i've got jokers to entertain me. Lisa, keep it up.

YAY! I went for rockclimbing yesterday. I met Uncle Justin again. Big Bully. Another one that claims I will NEVER find a husband. I told him I'll get married next week. Sheesh.

I'm exhausted.I have to keep running.Run after the sun,the moon and you...

Hey ya! I FINALLY get to blog. What I am going to type next would be what I wanted to blog about few days ago.

Just ended the j1 camp one week ago. It was awesome. It is definitely very different from our batch's outdoor adventure camp. I went for camp 1 ( Ra-sa-last and Aquila ) and camp 2's campfire. I enjoyed myself tremendously. =] I had great company too. Many thanks to Amaluna, the j3's -- Hui Ying, Yin Hou, Calvin and Xin Ru. The PE teachers were hilarious too. I guess I love being in Innova more thanks to this camp. It's definitely one heck of a memorable experience. Like watching how j1's leave their underwear at camp, seeing girls in a guys toilet, going out to see in a powerboat with the instructor when everyone else is kayaking like MAD, sleeping on the 3rd floor at night when the view above me is the sky, dotted with myriad stars, the PE teacher's debrief and funny things that they say, their humourous antics when they're tired or over enthusiastic and much more. It's worth missing school for this.

Anyway, I am extremely proud of the J1's from Sagittarius. You really blow me off my feet with your enthusiasm. This is what I told them after the campfire. Here goes: I know that you all work very hard for the campfire items. Later the points on the scoreboard would be updated. We would not know who would win or lose. But what I know is that the points system is not reflective of your behaviour. The point system is flawed. I mean its just points. If you want points, me or winston can easily give you 1000 points? We are winners whether the points say so. This was echoed by a resounding YEAH!

This is my train-of-thought: Why let someone else determine whether you are a winner or not when it concerns only YOU? Many times at competitions and camps, we want to earn points. As much as we can. But do they really reflect what we have done? Ever felt like you cheered like mad and yet you weren't awarded the points you thought you deserve? We all actually just want the points so that we feel that our hard work is rewarded. It makes us feel good. After that ? The sense of euphoria simly dies down. So what if you win? I believe its the process that matters. Do you remember who won the 100m sprint for sports day when you were in sec 1? I bet you wouldn't unless you know that person or ran with him/her. Would you remember the 5th winner for FIFA world cup? You wouldnt unless you experienced it or played in it. The point is even if you win, 10 years later, who would remember? But would you remember the time when you didnt win or lose but had lots of fun? The fun element is stuck in your head and not the position that you got. I would remember running like mad for the x-physique more that winning it. Mr Joshua Tan and Mr Koh share the same sentiments too. For Sagi, it is our HOPE that we would enjoy ourselves. For Mr Koh, as long as we have fun, thats more than enough. For Mr Tan, its the creation of a culture in Sagi that would be continued for years. I am glad that I am part of this process. Up till now, I cant even remember which position Sagi got for each of last year events. All I can remember is the great time I had with each experience. This is precisely why I love being the house capt. I hope I can share this with you people in my house. I wish the next house captain all the best. In the meantime, let me enjoy. =]
