If there is a man I admire, one of them would be William Shakespeare. This is one of his poems. A reason why I also love lit class in Innova. The super fun h1 class!!

SONNET 116
PARAPHRASE
Let me not to the marriage of true minds /Admit impediments
Let no barriers hinder the marriage of 2 lovers who truly love each other
Love is not love/ Which alters when it alteration finds,
Love is not really love when it changes when the lover loves someone else. It means that true love is not supposed to change under any circumstances.
Or bends with the remover to remove:
When someone tries to lure the lover away or has left him, his love will still remain.
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark That looks on tempests and is never shaken;/
Love is like a rock, even if the storms brew, the rock still remains just like love. It will be unchanged.
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Love is like the guiding start to every lost ship
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
But the value of love is not treasured by us.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks/ Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Even when beauty fade or the lover dies, love will not be deceived by time. It shall remain steadfast.
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,/ But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
Love doesn’t change in death even though the marriage vows often state, till death do us part
If this be error and upon me proved,
If what he is saying is wrong and it is proven by him…(that means if he is unfaithful)
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
That means he would not have ever written such a thing and no one in the world would has ever loved. (His declaration of love)
